In the coming years, we will strengthen our organizational foundation to ensure sustainability, expand our financial and human resources, restore community bonds that loosened during the pandemic, and enhance our signature programs to meet the needs of vulnerable learners. As we strive to extend hope and opportunity, we will measure our impact in lives and communities changed for the better.
LearningWorks AfterSchool + Summer
LearningWorks AfterSchool provides free, high-quality afterschool and summer programs to 1,000 elementary students (grades 2-5) in Portland, Saco, Biddeford, and Waterboro.
LearningWorks YouthBuild
LearningWorks YouthBuild serves teens and young adults who have dropped out of school by providing HiSET exam preparation, training in construction, culinary, and job, life, and leadership skills.
English Language + Literacy
Our English Language + Literacy Program provides free language instruction, one-on-one tutoring, and cultural literacy skills to more than 150 new immigrants and refugees each year.
Service Works
Service Works provides opportunities for young people to complete mandated community service, learn life skills, and rehabilitate harmed relationships.
